Method of extraction: it is obtained by steam distilling from the fruits, leaves and twigs of the evergreen cypress Cupressus sempervirens L.

Aroma: deep, woody with a non-aggravating note of spice and smoke, but crisp and refreshing.

Cypress oil contains substances that improve blood circulation in tissues [1], making it particularly popular in remedies for dilated varicose veins and subcutaneous capillaries, as well as in the presence of flushing. Cypress oil is used in anti-cellulite products and is ideal for a warming, relaxing massage.

Cypress oil is an excellent component in the treatment of premature skin aging, as it slows down the formation of scabs between elastin fibers, which are less elastic compared to normal elastin, making the skin tangled and inelastic and causing deformities and wrinkles [2]. This oil helps maintain skin elasticity and elasticity.

Cypress oil helps to resolve the problem of increased foot sweating, so it is used in baths or added as an active ingredient in foot cosmetics [3].

Usage:
✓ for face and body care – mix 2-4 drops of essential oil with 10 g of base (eg carrier oil – argan, grape seed, etc.)
✓ for massage – 4-6 drops of essential oil mixed with 10 g of carrier oil (eg grape seeds, almonds, etc.)
✓ for face masks – 4-6 drops of essential oil mixed with 3 tablespoons of clay and water (or hydrolate)
✓ for the bath – mix 3-5 drops of essential oil with 1 tablespoon of milk, honey, sea or table salt, add to a full water bath. The duration of the procedure is 10-15 minutes.

Contraindications: do not use in case of individual intolerance. Before using essential oils, make sure that the oil you inhale or apply to the skin does not cause an individual allergic reaction!
