Mango butter

Ingredients: mangifera indica seed butter (100% pure mango kernal butter).
Origin: India.
Extraction method: the butter is expeller pressed from the kernels of the mango fruit mechanically, then refined.

Mango kernels contain about 15% butter, which has recently found more and more use not only in cosmetics but also in food production as a promising alternative to cocoa butter. It does not contain trans-fats like some hydrogenated oils, and it does not require intensive refining or chemical treatment to produce a neutral product smell and color.

Mango oil is solid at room temperature and melts at 26 °C, which makes it wonderfully melting on the skin and easy to use. It contains a very small amount of free fatty acids, which are undesirable in cosmetics due to comedogenicity, which is why it is so popular in the cosmetics industry. It has antioxidant properties and is often used in skin care products for mature skin and sunscreens [1].

Mango oil is almost odorless, making it ideal as a base for essential oils and cosmetics. It is very light and does a great job of keeping moisture in the skin and preventing it from drying out. Mango oil moisturizes the skin by the principle of occlusion, creating an imperceptible film on the surface that prevents water from evaporating from the deeper layers of the skin.
