Star anise oil

Ingredients: illicium verum fruit oil (100% pure star anise essential oil).

Origin: China.

Method of extraction: the essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the fruits of star anise Illicium verum.

Aroma: fresh, sweet, characteristic of anise with a spice base similar to fennel.

Anise is one of the most popular spices, which has been known since the time of Ancient Egypt and is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine.

Anise oil is successfully used in acne, skin fungus and mouthwashes against bad breath [1]. This oil can reduce the itching and discomfort of irritated skin [2]. Due to its antioxidant properties, it also has a positive effect in products for mature skin, but it is important not to exceed the recommended dose (0.3%), as it can cause an allergic reaction in case of sensitive skin.

In research, anise oil has shown the ability to slow down the breakdown of elastin in the skin, so regular masks with this oil are an excellent tool for maintaining the elasticity of mature skin [3].

Usage:
✓ for skin and hair care – mix 1-2 drops of essential oil with 10-15 g of the base (e.g. base oil – almond, jojoba, etc.)
✓ in baths and saunas – 4-7 drops of anise oil in 500 ml of water
✓ for face masks – mix 3 tea. teaspoons of clay, 3 tea. teaspoons of water and 2-3 drops of essential oil until a fairly thick paste is obtained. Apply to the skin and leave for 10-15 minutes. Do not allow to dry completely. Then rinse with warm water.
✓ baths – mix 3-4 drops of essential oil with 1 tablespoon of milk, honey, sea or table salt, add to a full bath of water. The duration of the procedure is 10-15 minutes.
✓ essential oils can be vaporized in a vaporizer or aroma lamps.

Contraindications: do not use in case of individual intolerance. Do not use pure oil for skin care. Before using essential oils, it is necessary to check whether the inhaled or applied oil will not cause an individual allergic reaction!
